Diablo 2 Resurrected Best Barbarian Build (Whirlwind Barbarian)

Diablo II resurrected is Blizzard's revival project of Diablo II made back in June 2000. Resurrected brings childhood memories and new player experiences to bring the world of Sanctuary into the year 2022. Today, we will be focusing this Diablo 2 Resurrected Barbarian build guide on the various barbarian builds that are considered, the best, and meta builds.

The Barbarian is a class in Diablo II that wields powerful melee weapons to deal earth-shattering damage to both AoE and single targets alike. If you enjoy playing as a raw powered melee machine that spins great axes and swords while being tanky enough to take hits from bosses, then this is the class for you.

1.Combat Skills Tree - This skill tree allows for major martial abilities that deal un-paralleled melee damage

The “Whirlwind Barbarian” is the most popular build for Barbarians. This build focuses on massive AoE damage and is uncontested due to the Barbarian's natural tankiness and melee prowess. Even though this build is self-explanatory, we should go over some weaknesses and strengths to give you a better understanding of what this build is for you. Also, due to the nature of Barbarian, you can use a greatsword/ax/shield combo, allowing for variety in terms of gameplay.

●High AoE damage - This makes dungeons and all quests easy to breeze through, even while leveling.

●Easy Stat Priority

●Can use Multiple Weaponry for Variety Equipment Builds

●Great for Boss Damage

●Beginner Friendly

●Heavily reliant on mana leech items

●Whirlwind uses a lot of mana and can cause mana bleeding

●Vulnerable while out of mana (Yeah, you get it, it’s mana hungry)

●Weaker Vs. Large groups of physical immune mobs

●Damage has a cap (No way of increasing damage outside of gear and weapon mastery)

Use your skill points in this order. You can change it, but since whirlwind is your primary ability, you want to level this as fast as possible. Weapon Mastery is dependent on what you want to use (e.g., Greatswords), then upgrade your weapon mastery as fast as possible to influence damage on your Whirlwind ability. Battle orders increase your mana and health pools, but it is an outstanding ability. Shout is also an important ability as it increases your defense and offensive abilities and can be the difference between dying and winning the fight. The rest of the abilities can be taken throughout leveling once the others are managed; they can also be changed around for whatever playstyle you prefer; this is primarily an outline and our recommendation.

Whirlwind Barbarian is relatively straightforward. You need to use your whirlwind ability until the enemy dies; however, you can do a few more things to optimize your rotation and damage output.

Use your shout before and during combat as it raises your damage output and demoralizes your opponents. Avoid physical groups of mobs, most packs the Barbarian can solo or plow through, but physical resistance enemies are harder to fight.

There are still a few bugs, so be careful when whirlwind in tight spots as you can sometimes glitch through walls and get stuck (but to be honest, it’s pretty hilarious when it happens - except when it's not and you die and blizzard support does nothing about it…)

Due to the nature of the Barbarian, you can take on great amounts of mobs at a time, and since all your damage is an area of effect, the more enemies you fight, the more efficient your farming will be.

Getting either of these armor iterations would serve you nicely as most of them boost attack speed and mana leech; both are pivotal for your success as a whirlwind barbarian.
