Ashava the Pestilent

Ashava the Pestilent is a World Boss in Diablo 4, known for her two forearm blades and ability to coat the ground with a vicious poison. She's a formidable foe that requires groups of adventurers to stand together in groups of up to 12 to face her down. Defeating her will earn you legendary spoils.

Where to Find Ashava the Pestilent - Ashava Spawn Times

During certain times, Ashava will appear in the Crucible zone of the Shattered Peaks, located on the far easternmost zone past the Gale Valley and Seat of the Heavens. It is a level 25+ Zone, and devoid of enemies when the World Boss is not present. Note that only 12 players can appear in the same instance of that zone when the World Boss has spawned, regardless of whether they are in groups or not.

How to Beat Ashava the Pestilent?

When Ashava spawns from her pool of goo in the middle of the Crucible, the encounter will begin straight away and damage can happen immediately. To beat Ashava, players need to avoid her attacks, including her giant circular sweep, swipe, and poison attacks.
Bringing poison elixirs is recommended. Melee driven characters can avoid damage by evading inward closer to Ashava. If players die, they can respawn a little ways away from the fight or wait for another player to revive them. Killing Ashava can reward you with several pieces of legendary gear, and there is a weekly lockout for certain loot.

X'Fal the Sacred Baron

X’Fal, The Scarred Baron, is the first boss in Diablo 4's Prologue, residing in the Icehowl Ruins. He is a giant demon wielding a giant mace that he smacks around fairly quickly. X'Fal can also perform a sweeping attack and shoot flaming projectiles.

How to Beat X’Fal the Sacred Baron?

To beat X'Fal, players must master the Evade button and timing. When X'Fal lifts up his mace, players should dodge around, and when he performs a sweeping attack, players should dodge underneath the opposite arm to avoid the swing.

During X'Fal's pentagram power-up, players should kill the Hellstormer's he summons and smack him while he's in the air to do additional damage. After this power-up, he'll leap into the air and try to land on the player, but a circle will form on the floor with where he plans to land, so players can quickly run out of the way. Players should take their time fighting X'Fal, keep an eye on their health, and try to stick behind him when landing attacks.
